Sep. 5th, 2010 03:25 amSo, my first week has passed. I still wake up super late, as i am now programmed to do such, but i have always stayed up late anyways. I have the weekend this week so i am scrambling to get things done. I couldn't get the timing done in time for Matsujun's birthday, but i am trying hard to do it before i have to work non-stop again (although i made plans with old friends who found my number...)
( Translations + blah blah blah )
I'll probably keep the title and everything as 'Sup-pu de Okoge' because the translation doesn't sound good at all. I'd include translation notes about what okoge is. I hate when you watch something and they haven't translated something that can be translated though, like 'yoroshiku onegaishimasu', or 'shukudai'....
I found the flavours on the website because i couldn't read it. That's why i have no romaji for it. I totally thought the particle for the European one looked like this:
not that little box with the 'me' symbol. That's how bad the quality was :P
also, the * It's like, i understand what they meant, but i can't make it sound right in English. Like, they have browned it more? The color is better?
I was going to do more, but i seem to have lost the other CM i first subbed. I deleted it from my MF because it was a horrible translation. I don't have the raw anymore...the others are all pretty easy to understand and you aren't missing much. Heck, most of these CMs don't need subs XD This is mostly practice, as i can't seem to translate anything bigger. I tried Aoki-san Uchi no Okusan but WOW does that make noooo sense whatsoever XD It's so out there!! But i really want to see it subbed lol. It's interesting, from what i can understand.
I need vids with Japanese subs, or else i don't have a hope in subbing. Usually, if I can't understand it i can at least recognize symbols or find the kanji to accompany it, therefore understanding it and learning new words in the process! That's why i don't find it so bad, watching AniS raw or even a new epi i found of AnS (did you know there is a 33a? It's mostly clips but they do stupid things between, plus they try out the box the guest usually comes in). It's the only one not subbed!!
I am really itching to sub something big, like a drama or show. It is mostly what people want and i want to challenge myself. The whole problem is my lack of knowledge with the language :( Or else I'd sub a lot of what i found at
scrap_fabulous . Someday i hope...
Also, with this new job i am pretty much set to go to Japan!!! With cashing, it would have taken me a year or 3 to get enough together to go and have money to use, but with this new job i hope to save as much as possible. I could be in Japan within 2011!! I could...go see GANTZ!! *dies* I need to improve my Japanese some more, lol, or i might become a huge burden >< The man issue, again, is speaking. I understand a lot, although not enough to reeeally get by, but if i were asked a question or anything i would draw a blank and not be able to answer. Which causes a lot of problems. I also need to find a place to stay and all, which requires booking...which requires speaking in Japanese lol. Anyways, main issue- the money- is solved. I am super excited. It seems going to Japan is no longer a dream but may become reality sooner than i had hoped!! I am big on traveling, but am not too big on traveling alone. I'd love to go with my best friend but unless i paid for her as well there is no way she is coming, as much as she would love to. Plus, she may be at university by then :( Same with my sister (although minus the university part). There are a lot of places I'd like to visit, a lot of which are drama sites. I have a friend in Japan who i don't really talk to much anymore (it's hard for him to speak just English. He usually talks to Airiel a lot because when he doesn't understand or gets tired of English she can respond in Japanese, whereas i can't). He wants to see us a lot, since like 2 years ago, but we never had a chance to travel. I might, so i'd like to meet him :) I'd love to see some of my online friends as well xD
Well, just thought i'd pop in, say hi, all that jazz. I'm not tired but i feel i should force myself to sleep so i can walk up tomorrow with the sun still in the sky. However, that could screw up how i sleep the rest of the week, what with working till 6 am and all. What to do, what to do?
